Chickapoodat.

Dat is a chickapoo.

(giggles)

Well. They're about to get even MORE spectacularly lost, without even the stream to follow back.  I wonder what they'll run into....?

And I love the little guy's naked ears.

We're still not sure whether that critter is actually called a chickapoodat, or if that's Kikal making up her own word for it because she's too excited to remember the right one.

As always, it's exciting to get a new page and I like it lots. Smiley
So I sat down and thought about what makes it so exciting.

The art is great, as usual, and it seems that all since the Chapter 1 cover, Foxeye has had things fit really well together for her. It certainly seems like her own personal style is emerging these days. Grin

Rakyn's part is harder to spot, but dialogue has been both consistent and easy to follow, which I guess is all we get to see of what he does. Kinda hard to see all which didn't make the cut ... it's not there after all. Cheesy
Even so, it seems more .. uhm .. streamlined ? these days, so I reckon something is happening in that department as well.

It's always neat to look back one day and see just how much it has evolved.
Just look at Jeremy Waller's WTF Comic strip ... the first strips vs. the most recent ones shows a huge difference!
Can't wait to see how far Fox and Rak can bring Jungle Fire.

That's what makes me want to come back and check up on it.
That's what makes me want more!
That's what excites me.

Grin

Hope it all makes sense, 'cause I think I just rambled out onna tangent .. again.  laugh

Let's just hope Junglefire maintains a faster pace of story and update then Mr Waller's comic.

I enjoy WTF Comics but sometimes the wait and overall slowness of the plot in general inspires me to just not visit the site for a month or two.

Great page 11, more of the nearly naked kittyboy brigade. That poor rodent had better run far and fast And a serious congrats on sticking to your schedual! You both deserve congrats on that Pirate
Keep it up, I can't wait to see where you're going with this.

Indeed.  Smiley  As for Rak's imprint...yeah, it's hard to pick out because he sorta insinuates himself at almost all levels.  He does the page layout/flow/angle for the most part. Sometimes I have a great idea that we work in, but his ideas are typically the ones that make the cut.  And on the reverse, half of the dialog comes from me (I think the "*GNAAAW*" on page 10 was me, rawr).  Plot/pacing/ideas is both of us. QA is mostly him (at that stage I'm busy being emo...see Step 4: Agonizing Self-Scrutiny, for details).  Uber-awesome maps are his, but, um, you don't get to see that. Sorry. Tongue

Hmmm..."neat" is not the word I'd normally use. Something more like "embarassing" or "we-really-need-to-redo-those-pages".  Laughing

I know. I'm an inspiration...Ever see The Deer hunter? That vietmese guy who would yell at them and hit them untill they pulled the trigger against their own heads? I'm kind of inspiring like that guy is...

But only because I love the comic and believe in both of your work *hand to heart, tear in eye*

'e's a guinea pig, actually. Smiley  Or the ghost of a guinea pig who lurks on the forums. Albert was my pet in college that I inherited from a graduating senior. He was the sweetest little squealie thing.  His famous quirk was that, when a largely-endowed female held him on her lap, he would bob his head up and down to make her boobs bounce. No joke. Startled a few friends before they wised up.  I'm guessing he didn't appreciate having the light blocked.   Undecided
