From now on we'll just post a forum news item when we put out a new page, as opposed to starting a new thread about it. You may've noticed that when you click on a page of the comic you'll end up in a thread about that page; these links won't go away, but they'll point to the forums instead unless someone has started a thread about that page. Sometimes a page doesn't generate conversation, and it seems silly to have a thread with little in the way of conversation. We really appreciate all the woots and cheers, but in all honestly that doesn't really count as conversation. The material we're putting out right now really isn't the type to generate much conversation anyway.

We will, of course, continue to announce new pages in the JF mailing list, so if you're not interested in looking at the forum news you might want to sign up for the mailing list (click here to find out how).
