It has tribal cat-people, you pair like tribal cat people. I'd lie if I said I didn't think of this web comic a little.

Alas, we haven't seen it yet. We've been meaning to -- seeing as it looks like something fascinating and oddly familiar -- but haven't yet gotten around to it. Hope it won't disappear from theaters before we get the chance... Sad

Heh, my dad even called to say "it looked like something you guys would do!", and he barely even knows the comic.

Can't wait to see it.  Hopefully after two weekends the insane theater parking lots around here will be a little less insane. We have such thin skins when it comes to looking for parking at movie theaters.

I loved the movie, personally. The visuals alone make it worth it. The story is pretty simple, but the depth and detail put into the world and the Na'vi culture went a good way compensate for that. The movie is beautiful, see it in IMAX3D. That's all I can really say.

It gets extra points for having a sci-fi love-story that didn't make me want to end my life in a fiery gun-battle with the police. Unlike other recent sci-fi movie couples I won't name (*Cough*Anakin and Padme *cough*)

See this in a thearter, see it in 3D, or don't bother. This is the one movie that was really made for the big screen.

My husband and I saw it in 3d.   It was expensive and the first movie we have been to in years but it was worth it even with the gang of kids and their cell phones in the front row.  I kept the glasses , hay you never know ....

Best movie I have seen in a long time.
We might actually buy this one when it goes to dvd.   Will go nicely with Bladerunner, Serenity and the firefly series, the only other dvds I feel are worth keeping   Grin

I will not buy Avatar on DVD. It's the first film I've seen for which I feel Blu-Ray is a must. And to that end, I've secured myself a Blu-Ray player.

I'll likely see it again in the theater.

We finally saw Avatar.

It was an awakening experience.

It reminded us of why we started to make Jungle Fire.

It was good. Really good.

By the way, Feydir. Thanks for thinking of Jungle Fire a little when you saw Avatar. That is one of the nicest things we've heard in a long time.

So I saw avatar for the third time and thought. " I haven't checked out Junglefire in a bit."

The plot is pretty simple and predictable, but I don't care.

Me and hubby went and saw it again last night in imax 3d.... and I agree with Claw... maybe the plot could have been more original, but I don't care either. I loved it anyways. Smiley
